'It All Started on Winters Lane' chronicles the stories of many families that founded the Black settlement of Catonsville, Md. Starting from the day's of slavery, this book tells the story of the Black men and women that made the community possible. The author, Louis Diggs, is a genealogist who has retired from the U.S. Army and Federal Civil Service, spends his golden years researching his family roots and writing local Black histories.
